My Logos

We have had to make logos for ourselves. We made one first semester and then again at the end of the year so we could compare the two of them so we could know the differences between the two and how the story has changed from then until now.

Old Logo

     The old logo had a butterfly so I could fly higher and higher achieving new and great things. I wanted black for the darkness and so that the other color I chose would seem to rise above the pit of darkness that can be called life. I choose blue because that is my favorite color and is the color of water. I swim so that ties in to the color blue and I have enjoyed swimming the stroke butterfly so I have become fairly good at swimming it. For further emphasis on the butterfly and my initials I put a white outline around them. It looks nice but doesn't really express a lot of who I am, it just shows a part of me which might not always be relevant to a costumer. Logos should have relevant information for a costumer not just be a pretty picture for a company or just some letters and a graphic.

New Logo

     The new Logo I created I wanted to have black, white, and blue in it again. I had the idea to have lines overlap to form my initials. So I originally made a light blue circle and black lines. I wanted something more so I added a orange circle. But it needed to be a interesting circle so I made it a splattered paint circle or something along those lines. But I didn't like how you could just see the splatteredness outside the edges of the circle and it didn't look professional in front of the circle so blended the two objects together in Photoshop to get the nice blue purple color for the circle and a nice shade of orange along with a white color when the two objects overlap. I wanted the lines of my initials to disappear so I made the background black as well. I like the way it turned out. It looks cool and really nice. It expresses my creative side and more fun side better than the other logo while keeping a professional and kept together fell that the other logo had and this logo has relevance to the client because I am in a creative business, animation and graphic design are very creative and inspiration can come in very hands on ways and this logo shows that very well unlike the other logo.
